Acclaimed storyteller Penny Sterling (“Spy in the House of Men”) teams up with musicians Mike and Mel Muscarella (Violet Mary) to present songs and stories about our relatives. It’s a collection of tales about the people we love, told with humor, poignancy, and great music. And maybe a little wine. These are the songs from the show in their full glory!

PENNY STERLING is a storyteller rhythm kazooist (strictly rhythm—she doesn’t make it cry or sing) whose show “Spy in the House of Men: A One-Woman Show With Balls” was voted Co- Audience Favorite at the 2017 Ithaca Fringe Festival. Penny lives in Rochester, NY, with her two youngest children (when they’re home from college) and her cat, Neil (who has shown no interest in higher education).

MIKE & MEL MUSCARELLA are the husband and wife behind Violet Mary, the nearly-famous indie rock act from Rochester, NY. The duo has released four independent records with a rotating cast of characters backing them and has been featured in publications such as Elmore Magazine and the British rock and metal magazine Fireworks. Violet Mary puts their music to work with the Ugandan Water Project, providing disease-free drinking water to schools in Uganda. When not making music, Mel and Mike put their feet up with their cats Nigel and Harriet, who both received their doctorates from Bard.
